I’m a: biologist

My research: My laboratory studies viral infections and immunity, with the goal of understanding how viruses cause diseases and how we can prevent them. We study a variety of viruses, including herpes simplex virus, influenza, zika virus, and SARS-CoV-2. We developed a new vaccine strategy called Prime and Pull, to provide local mucosal immunity against viral pathogens.

What do you typically eat for breakfast? Yogurt and fruits

What is your favorite snack or candy? Yoku Moku cookies and yokan

What is your favorite spice? coriander

What is one food you absolutely dislike? greasy food

What is one of your favorite dishes? So many to choose from! I do love noodles and pasta. They are easy and delicious. Kids love them too.
