My research: I study earthquakes and work to understand and improve the communication of hazard and risk before, during and after rapid onset geologic hazards.

What do you typically eat for breakfast? poached eggs on toast with avocado

What is your favorite type of cuisine to cook? I love cooking bread because it's incredible to me that you can take flour, water and yeast and make something so different from the original ingredients!

What is your favorite snack or candy? salt and vinegar chips

What is your favorite spice? cinnamon

What is one food you absolutely dislike? cilantro
