Paula Garcia Todd
I’m a: chemical engineer turned businesswoman
My research: I have spent 15 years developing new excipients - excipients are everything that goes into your medication besides the active pharmaceutical ingredient, like coatings, fillers, and release-modifying polymers.
What do you typically eat for breakfast? toast with avocado and eggs
What is your favorite type of cuisine to cook? Empanadas - the Chilean way, with ground beef, eggs, and olives. Reminds me of my family and rushes me with amazing memories.
What is your favorite snack or candy? I love chocolate, and I love it even more if it contains nuts.
What is your favorite spice? Cilantro - it's fresh and summery.
What is one food you absolutely dislike? Anise - it's terrible in every way I've tried.
My 4 dream scientist dinner companions:
My best friends are scientists and they're spread across the country - and because I strongly believe you don't have to be famous to make an enormous impact in scientific fields, I pick my closest buddies (nerd friends make the best friends).
